History of the Complex of Vocational Schools

The school started its educational work on 1st September, 1946 teaching two occupations: the bookbinder and the blacksmith.

The school founding, according to the first kept staff meeting record of Public Supplementary Vocational School from 6th September, 1948, falls for the school year 1946/1947. Under the above-mentioned record the school, which was then located in the building of todays Primary School No. 3, counted 203 pupils, from which 6 classes were created. The teaching staff consisted of the head of the school Antoni Radoń and 9 teachers.

In September 1947 the school opened its library, which had 34 items. At the turn of the year 1947 and 1948 there were already 169 books. In the school year 1948/49 the Parenting Circle was created which now bears the name of the Parent Council.

In 1948 municipal authorities of Rawicz granted the school the building of the former military warehouse at 12 Kasprzak Street, at present Gen. J.Hallera Street, where the school has been located till now. Moving to another building resulted in changes in the school management. Władysław Żurawski became the new head. In the school year 1950/51 the school bears the name of State Secondary Vocational School and it changes it twice next year, first into State Basic Vocational School and then into Basic Vocational School.

In the school year 1959/60 preparing girls for the occupation of household started. In 1962 the school received the old District Hospital building for the purpose of its own dormitory which was opened in March 1963, and closed down on 31st August, 1994. In 1962 the parents’ association founded the school flag.

Since 1959 the school has owned the school workshops which have functioned till now. Their first head was Brunon Szpak. In 2003, on the basis of school workshops administrative buildings, Additional Training and Occupational Development Center was created.

In 1963 the school was divided. Under the decision of the Minister of Education from 20th April, 1963 Basic Vocational School for Working Students with a 3-year period of studying was created as a separate organizational unit. The new school was placed in the buildings of Linen Technical School at 6 Gen. Świerczewskiego Street, at present Gen. Grota Roweckiego Street.

Till 31st December, 1963 Józef Sędłak held the post of the head teacher of both schools. On 1st January, 1964 the position was obtained by Teodor Rybacki and in 1975 by Ignacy Rzepecki. The deputy heads were: Marian Dąbrowski, since 1965 Jan Spychała, since 1975 Janusz Kruś and since 1977 Władysław Boryczka. In 1970 the school changed its name into Supplementary Basic Vocational School and in 1977, under the decree of the Education and Upbringing Superintendent in Leszno, took the name of Basic Vocational School No 2.

On 12th April, 1975 the school was named after Stefan Bobrowski who was bound up by the place of his death with the local land.

On 15th April, 1978 the Tradition Chamber was opened. Its aim was to collect all memorabilia connected with history of the school and its patron. Therefore, materials connected with the activities around the patron and biographical materials about him made up all the permanent exhibition.

For 10 years the exhibition’s custodian was Cecylia Bohdziewicz, later Renata Balcerek took over this function. In November 2007 the Chamber was converted into a classroom and its ideas were adopted by ‘the Corner of Memory’ created in the school lobby.

On 1st of September the school was reorganized.

In place of Vocational Secondary School, Mechanical Technician School for Working Students as well as Basic Vocational School, The Complex of Vocational Schools came into existence. Its new head teacher became Krystyna Michalik. On 1st September, 1984 Special Basic Vocational School for Youth with Mild Deviations and Developmental Disorders was created. On 1st March, 1984 the school deputy head Władysław Boryczka became a new head teacher.

In the following school year further changes took place as far as managerial positions are concerned. Irena Gawrońska became the new tutelar and education deputy head. Later on this position was taken over by Urszula Suchanek. In subsequent years the school management gained more members. On 1st September, 1991 the post of the deputy head in charge of didactics was taken by Henryk Pawłowski and on 1st February, 1995 Roman Pawlak took the post of the deputy head in charge of pedagogy. Moreover, in 1984 the post of the head of practical training was created and it was held by Zenon Ratajczyk. Currently the post is held by Krzysztof Kazuń - the deputy head in charge of occupational and practical training.

In 1996 on the 50th anniversary of the school opening a new gymnasium was put into use.

Since 2001, laboratory classes have been held in the new studio of electrical engineering.

In 2003 the chemical laboratory was opened.

Since the school year 2003/04, Iwona Samól-Biedrowska and Janusz Majer have been responsible for the computing facility management in the Complex of Vocational Schools.

Two years later CVS received two new classrooms and a Multimedia Information Center within the project "Computer Laboratories for Schools". In 2004, thanks to extramural students diploma projects, a foreign language lab was created.

In 2008 CVS was the first in Rawicz to have enriched its teaching aids with a multimedia board and in 2009 a mechanical technology lab was equipped with a numerically controlled lathe.

Since 1st September, 2007, the post of the head teacher of CVS has been held by Krzysztof Jarosz. The deputy heads are: Łucja Dera, Justyna Szajerka and Krzysztof Kazuń.

The Complex of Vocational Schools consists of Basic Vocational School and Technical School preparing for the occupations: mechanic technician, economist technician, trade technician, nutrition and household technician, environmental protection technician, building technician, electricity technician and logistics technician.

CVS carrying out schooling, educational and custodial tasks organizes many ceremonies, assemblies and meetings with interesting people.

CVS comprises various organizations and circles of interest in school: Student Self-government, European Club, Polish Red Cross Circle, School Sports Circle, Circle of Ecology, Film Discussion Club, Maths Circle, Friends of Culture School Circle, and Theatre Group Katamaran.

Apart from that CVS is famous for Leonardo da Vinci project which was started in September 2008. The project is based on cooperation with schools in Osnabrück and Cloppenburg in Lower Saxony.

In 2009, within the package of EU projects from the European Social Fund, the project of “Virtual Agritourist Enterprise” was implemented.

The most important events from the school life are recorded in the School Chronicle.

The crucial role in CVS plays also the Parent Council which, thanks to its subsidies, enables students to get prizes and sponsor school equipment.

The school’s students can use the help of the dentist and hygienist.

After getting acquainted with this outline of the history of the Complex of Vocational Schools in Rawicz, knowing modest beginnings of this school, it is not difficult to imagine the enormousness of changes and to appreciate the commitment and the hardship of many people’s work.

Migawki z życia ZSZ 2015/2016

Sympatycy PaT Rawicz działają

W nowym roku szkolnym 2015/2016 ponownie ruszyły działania grupy profilaktycznej Sympatycy PaT Rawicz. Młodzież z  Zespołu Szkół Zawodowych oraz innych szkół gimnazjalnych i ponadgimnazjalnych z Rawicza i Miejskiej Górki po wakacjach wznowiła swoją aktywność. Ponownie spotkali się na ściance wspinaczkowej przy Gimnazjum w Sierakowie, gdzie sprawdzili swoją sprawność fizyczną pod okiem Krzysztofa Matysiaka.
